Sheerness Beach Isle of Sheppey

Sheerness Beach – This beautiful pebbly beach is located on the northern coast of the Isle of Sheppey. This beach has stunning views of Southend-on-Sea and the Essex coastline. This shingle beach is perfect at low tide to explore rockpools and the wildlife that inhabits them.
Accessibility to the beach is limited steep hills and steps. Those with mobility issues may find this difficult. Please bear this in mind when visiting. The sea wall forms a promenade which is frequently used by cyclists and walkers. There are benches and places to perch around the promenade most with stunning sea views.

Although there are no food outlets or facilities at this beach you can access the town centre, parks, amusements, play areas and supermarkets in less than a ten-minute walk. There are no lifeguards who cover this area and dog restrictions may apply throughout the year.

Sheerness Beach Review

Family of five had a really grand time here. Kids enjoyed the parks while m wife and I chilled out with an ice cream.
Pebble beach is nice but if your going into the sea I suggest a pair of diving shoes due to the amount of sharp rocks and shells in the water.

There’s always something different to see every day. Five minute walk from the town centre and less than that to a park, amusement arcade, play area and supermarket.

Lovely beach, clear waters, pebble beach and when the tide is out you can walk out to the sea. Lovely for families to ha d a picnic, walk along the beach and enjoy the sea.

Sheerness has kept its blue flag beach award again this year and is perfect for swimming in the sea. The kiosk nearby also offers ice creams and snacks at reasonable prices.

We had a brilliant time crabbing on the beach which is pebbly. We used the local leisure centre toilets which are near. There is also a free splash park and sandpit play area. Brilliant day out.

Always had good experiences here. Large group of us go every year with children. Staff are friendly and helpful. One outdoor pool, one indoor. Weather permitting it is easy to sit by the outdoor pool all day. Evening entertainment for all ages, good fun and plenty of 2p machines and ticket collecting in the arcade for the children.
