Whitstable Beach Oster

Whitstable Beach – This popular pebbly beach is divided by wooden groynes. Don’t be fooled by the lack of sand this beach has much to offer including nearby takeaways, beach huts, wind surfing, sailing and fantastic views. Close to the beach you can find Whitstable Oster Restaurant and we highly recommend checking them out – our favourites include their special, Deep fried local cod in beer batter with chips, mushy peas & tartare sauce or their, Black truffle taramasalata with chargrilled sourdough toast. What’s better than a taste of local food, right?

Accessibility to the beach is limited with lots of uneven services. There is a car park close to the beach however, parking spaces are subject to availability, and we suggest arriving before peak hours. The beach is a short walk from the train station. There are no lifeguards who cover this area and dog restrictions may apply throughout the year.

Whitstable Beach is privately owned by the Whitstable Oster Fishery and access to the beach is permitted through them.

Whitstable Beach Review

We had a lovely walk along the beach in between the wind and showers. We expected it in February. It’s lovely to walk and breathe fresh sea air. We will definitely make sure we walk along this beautiful stretch of coastline when we return to Whistable in the summer.....and hope the weather is kinder next time.

Love Whitstable, but not the crowds? Step out along the beach here, past The Neptune (though you must go in it at some stage) and onwards towards Seasalter. Locals with their dogs love it, but the tourists rarely venture this far. We like it best on a windy chilly day and our grandchildren are just as enthusiastic.

I have known this area for many years, since childhood and it is still quite unspoilt. The pretty little beach huts have been decorated in parts, it is a safe beach and it is such a good walking beach. Always enjoyable to find somewhere quiet and off the beaten track. Do recommend a visit.

We had an amazing time at All Hallows, definitely will be returning , site was very clean and caravan clean and spacious, we were very welcomed by a receptionist called Zoe she made our stay very welcoming! Greeted with a smile! Holiday for family for my sons 3rd birthday! Lots to do on site and out side of the site! Thankyou All Hallows’! X.
